Ticket holders to Disney’s D23 Expo 2024 can look forward to the biggest fan event yet in terms of news, events, panels, and a brand new secondary location.

Since 2009, D23 Expos has been the Walt Disney Company’s exclusive Comic-Con, where the House of Mouse studios showcase their projects, announce the biggest news, and where fans can shop, mingle, and celebrate the different fandoms of Disney.

For 2024, Disney is taking things even further by expanding to two locations, offering an even larger show floor with more shopping options and experiences, and unveiling a new event title: D23: The Ultimate Fan Event.

Rumors for the 2024 D23 Event

With San Diego Comic-Con taking place July 25-28 and just a few days before D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, the big question is what will Marvel Studios reveal in San Diego and what does Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige have in store for D23?

Because of Fantastic four banners that were already shown for San Diego Comic-Con, the cast is expected to make their first appearance there.

But hopefully there will be more surprises saved for D23’s Entertainment Showcase, as well as further information and reveals for Agatha Always Already, Captain America: Brave New World, and other MCU projects.

Another big question for the studio is whether Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has any concrete news to share about the previously announced Star Wars film series, including the Rey Star Wars film.

Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios are also expected to share new details and first looks at upcoming films, including Vaiana 2, Elio, Zootopia 2, Frozen 3, Toy Story 5and more.

Finally, when it comes to Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line, the hype surrounding the Disney Experiences Panel has never been greater.

In addition to The Walt Disney Company’s previously announced investment plans and approval for DisneylandForward (expansion plans for the Disneyland Resort), Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro has promised additional announcements beyond the already announced Animal Kingdom overhauls and a Magic Kingdom expansion.

D23: The Ultimate Fan Event will take place Friday, August 9 – Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center.
