EA Sports College Football 25 Predicts Oregon vs. Michigan Game

Oregon may have Michigan’s number

Oregon and Michigan met twice in the late 2000s, with then-head coach Lloyd Carr saying Autzen Stadium was the loudest venue he’d ever been to. The Ducks followed that up with a trip to Ann Arbor, where then-offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and quarterback Dennis Dixon had some fun at the Wolverines’ expense. And now, at least in simulation, the Ducks are having more fun in the Big House with this dominant performance.

Ducks save their playoff chances

In the last simulation, Illinois pulled off the big upset, knocking the Ducks out of the playoffs. With this big win, Oregon would once again be a contender for the playoffs, making all right with the world in Eugene.

Keep the web foot low

Oregon jumped on the Wolverines early in this game and never let up, making the Wolverines think they had a chance at some sort of rally. It’s a trait the REAL Ducks likely have as they head into the 2024 season.

A balanced attack and a strong defense

One thing these simulations have shown is that Oregon is going to be very difficult to prepare for. Illinois was determined to take away the running game, so Gabriel and receivers had a big day. Same at Purdue. But Michigan did its best to stop the air raid, and Jordan James went over 100 yards. I don’t envy the Big Ten defensive coordinators.

Oregon’s defense may give up some points, but you’re going to earn them and by the time the fourth quarter rolls around, the opposition is going to be in trouble. Depth will be key against the Ducks.
