Charity single by RNLI-rescued musician goes on sale

A Dorset musician has composed a song for the RNLI’s anniversary year.

Weymouth musician Will Adams is the creator of ‘The Mermaid Song’, which was created to mark the RNLI’s 200th anniversary of saving lives at sea.

The CD costs £4.99 and can be purchased at any Weymouth Lifeboat event, with the money going directly to the life-saving charity.

The song contains the lyrics “”good old Weymouth came to rescue me, good old Weymouth we’ll be home in time for tea,” and is a tribute to the moment the crew saved Mr Adams’ own life.

Staff and volunteers at Weymouth Lifeboat Station have expressed their sincere thanks to all those involved in the production of the CD.
